Wolves within the packs do not have to fall under any general type of character. Their personalities may be anything, their history anything, and etc etc.
This is not meant to be specific.
The packs will outline themselves more as role play goes on - this is just meant to be a general overview of what I'm thinking they'll be like, and is very subject to change.
Will be updated as role play goes on.
The only true differences lie in leadership, belief in the Do No Harm law, views on humans, some rules, and meeting places. If anything is written 'on the whole' or 'in general', yes, your character may break any of those stereotyped - it is just generally.
LUCANTER
The oldest pack in Waymoor, defeated several rival packs long ago to attain sole dominion over this land.
Lucanter wolves meet in the basin of Flowing Canyon, and tend to roam the Waymoor Forest more than any other place in their werewolf forms.
They are a diverse bunch of wolves, but function very coherently as a pack. There are stirrings of unrest within the pack currently at its treatment of Kalecto and humans, but none yet have shown any interest in actually leaving.
Lucanter wolves as a whole believe in the Do No Harm law, and try to protect humans from Kalecto wolves. Some may be more fanatic about it than others, some may not believe in it at all but do not wish to join Kalecto.
The wolves here tend to be more traditional wolves, upholding the old lore and acting more like werewolves were thought to be. They abide wholeheartedly by the alpha's laws, and for the most part, stick together as one pack.
KALECTO
The new pack to Waymoor, created years ago as a response to the Do No Harm law. It was originally made by a wandering alpha, who brought wolves in with him, and took some of Lucanter's loyal subjects as well. Kalecto is strong and has not been driven out by Lucanter yet, setting up their homes within the city.
Kalecto wolves occasionally travel to the forest, but for the most part, lurk around the city in their wolf forms. Their meeting place is the Abandoned Factory, and they are referred to as a new 'type' of werewolf - the urban ones.
They are diverse and several schisms have formed within it. They disagree on some things - mostly treatment of humans and the law, but generally despise it and wish to be free. They do however, follow one alpha, and abide by the laws set forth.
They are mostly 'new' werewolves, not coming from old blood like Lucanter wolves, and so thus have less loyalty to the pack itself, and more to individual wolves and/or the alpha.
WANDERERS
Wanderers are lone wolves without any pack. They usually manage alright most of the month, but the wolf desires a pack because it is in its nature, so the full moon is difficult. Wolves in packs generally leave wanderers alone so long as they do not feel like their territory is being infringed upon.
I would prefer that there not be that many wanderers around, but you may do as you wish.
