PLAYED BY: Tempest.
FACE CLAIM: Garrett Hedlund.
NAME: Genesis Brayick.
MATE: Viviane Brayick.
Occupation: Personal Trainer. Working in this field allows him to find other werewolves that may not understand their strength, allows him to teach them how to control it, and also how to use it. Its not the glamorous job some higher ranks have, but it allows him to work closely with his pack, and those that do not quite understand their new strength and powers.
POWER: Incredible strength, though he is not quite as fast as others. His second power is increased sensed. Heightened hearing enables him to almost always sense those around him, eyes allow him to see at a greater distance. Etc. Downside of this power as that it can overwhelm him, and cause him great headaches, especially within crowded areas.
APPEARANCE: Genesis is a towering presence, at six feet six inches, he is hard to miss. If his height did not set him apart, his presence would. He stands with confidence, strength and assurance in every movement he makes. Gen is thin in his build, though muscular and incredibly strong, a power he was born with. It has made him very tone, but not overly bulky. Still the effects of his greater strength tend to make him a bit slower with tight turns. Heightened senses enable him to try and recoup some of the loss of his speed. Genesis has vivid blue eyes, that stand out brilliantly from slightly tanned skin. Dirty blonde hair, almost brown, sticks out in a messy array, typically from running his fingers through his hair, a gesture he does when angry or thinking far too much. Clothing wise, Genesis is generally a simple kind of guy. Jeans and a t shirt will usually suffice, though he has been known to wonder out in a suit if needed.
PERSONALITY: Genesis is first of all the stubborn silent type, his face expresses little emotion, though his eyes tend to look hard and angry no matter what mood he is in. Damaged by his father's lack of affection and by pushing him into aggressive sports and events to avoid contact with the young boy as much as possible. Its caused him some personal issues, a good reason why he keeps to himself, especially his emotions; as he struggles to interrupt them. Genesis is confident in everything he does pack wise and battle wise, he spends far too much time thinking and analyzing decisions. Despite what many may think, Genesis is incredibly patient and able to control his great temper. Its quite hard to push his buttons, unless it pertain to his mate Vi. To see another touch, threaten, or make any kind of eyes at he struggles to control the shift and call of the wolf inside, and to not tear the throat right out of whoever would dare to act towards her in such a way. His loyalty lays within the pack and to every member within it, and he can become quite defensive and easily agitated if he feels a threat towards any member of his pack. Genesis does not despise human, or have an arrogant flair that many long born weres seem to have, he would rather live in peace beside them, and if that means hidden within their world and the shadows of the night then that suits him just fine.
HISTORY: Sired by the previous alpha of Lucanter and his mate. The night Genesis was born, his parents were far away from the city or most of civilization. As a result, his mother labored for a long time, struggling with the birth. When he was finally born, his mother had only moments to hold him before a hemorrhage his father had no knowledge of stopping stole her life from them both. Genesis father, Derik, became bitter and angry at the loss of his mate, and despite his wish fulfilled for a great son, he pushed all of these harsh and painful emotions and memories onto the infants shoulder’s. Growing up in the house of his father, Genesis knew nothing but a strict and rigid nature, a life where beatings were common punishment, and few words were ever exchanged between father and son. He became close to a nanny, a young human his father hired to take care of his son.
His father began to push him away as soon as he could, enrolling him in every aggressive sport he could think of and sending him to train with other members of the pack. Genesis's childhood was one of pain. He spend much of his time alone, craving his father's attention and working hard in everything his father wanted him to take part, hoping one day he would smile, praise him, anything. But he never did, he never came, and for a time Genesis became reckless and wild. Running with the wrong crowd, breaking hearts and destroying property, too swift and agile to be caught by police, but still getting his name around the pack. It worried them, upset them, and eventually it led to a great conflict with his father on the night of the full moon when all are in their wolfen forms.
The night of The Gathering, his father confronted him, not as a father but as his Alpha. He was angry and upset with his behavior and for every other painful memory he had of his son. It didn't take them long, and they were fighting violently in the midst of the pack. A challenge between them. It was a long battle, a vicious struggle, but in the end, Genesis sunk his teeth into his father's neck, destroying the alpha of Lucanter. By right and birth, he should have taken up his father's place, but there were other males within the pack with their own ideas, and a vicious night of challenges followed for young Genesis. Despite his youth, he won against each challenger that rose to face him. Bloody and beaten, he howled his victory and his power over the pack within his new rank.
Becoming the Alpha, tt changed something in him that night, the arrogant and reckless teenager was gone and he became dedicated to the pack and its life. Protecting it from humans and from rivals. Eventually, he earned the respect and loyalty of it in turn as he proved himself in his change, and worked with younger and inexperienced wolves, training them and showing them how to control their strength and powers. Close to this time, when his body was still fresh from his battle, he encountered a wanderer, Viviane, whose passion awoke something within him. She spoke of peace for the packs, how she hoped that change for her kind could come about. Despite her passion, and his confusing attraction to her, he declined to seek out any kind of alliance with the other pack and their reckless nature.
